[nmglug] startx not runnig please a little help

Finally went back to debian
Fedora 1.9 installed nicely  but it was to crashy.
I got mostly everything running with debian 3.0
only thing I cannot startx ,
it's saying that the /usr/bin/X11/X file is not there, (and its not)
I run xf86config (the only available)
and after it was giving the same error.
then I apt-get the x-system
and the message now is fatal server error, no screens found.
What to do?
