[nmglug] Add User / KDE problems

Q1- under Control Panel -> System Administration -> Login Manager -> 
Users, un-check the user from being hidden. It defaults to not being 
hidden but its worth a try.

Q 2 and 3 should be resolved with jdavis' suggestion
