The intention was to get folks like Marsh from EV1 to take a minute to
evaluate the facts related to SCO's early threats.

Marsh's quote makes me think that he and his advisers based their
initial decision on SCO's "FUD" and SCO-FUD-inspired news (there was
originally a lot of it), but reaction of their many customers has forced
them to educate themselves a bit (rather than taking SCO's word for
it).  I'm really surprised that a large, successful company would make
such a move (pay off SCO) and then backtrack -- it's like they really
had no idea what was going on.  I'm shocked.
