I had a similar experience recently. I got an external usb drive from
ballios. Plugged it into a breezy install , wrote to the hfs file
system. Then reinstalled on the computer. Plugged the drive into dapper
and i got permission denied for writing. Must have had a tweaked kernel
in breeze?
