[nmglug] alienware laptop

I had the same situation at work,
I got a decent budget for a decent laptop,
started some research, (not much although),
ended up ordering a MacBook Pro, (arriving this week)
to fulfill my Linux needs I took a
2 year old Dell with a 1,7 PIV and some crappy chipset
and works fine enough (almost always I'm ending up with a shell and vi)
