[nmglug] calendar program that easily loads a .ics file?

Amigos, which calendar program would you recommend on a GNU/Linux
system that most easily load a .ics file and then allow you to move
around the entries from it?

Evolution can do the job, but it is painful and kind of dumb in how it
imports calendars.

korganizer does it rather cleanly, but gets confused by many of the
files I have tried.

Google calendar is pretty good, but I want to give this to someone who
does not have a google account.
