I note that I wasn't as clear as I ought to have been, that option A:
was for X forwarding over SSH, and option B: (which included the above
command) was for VNC tunneled over SSH.
But anyway, you want to run that command from the host you're physically
looking at, in this case probably your laptop. That's what I meant by
host1. Host2 would be the remote machine, for which no commands were
shown in the example. (But remember Host2 will need to be running a vnc
server, we can help with that too if it's not working.)
