NMGlug-ers, I am using the thinkpad that Sam helped me tune up at the
last meeting. I am very pleased with Debian stable and find it not as
difficult as I once imagined.  The main issues are having enough
command line comfort to negitiate the install and then getting a good
but simple list of repositories correctly defined in the
/etc/apt/sources.list with an editor. Plenty of resources once you are
set  up and no need to depend on Ubuntu or Mint or ...whoever.
