[nmglug] status of re-install?

Thanks for your input.just poking along popped in the dvd to reinstall, 
changed bios to dvd first choice  and f12 to dvd,haven't been able to 
convince my computer to start the live dvd,seems to be having a 
difficult day.Will try again when the weather improves. best a
