[nmglug] another programming course this weekend -- laptops? help with installfest?

Dear nmglugers,

This weekend I will again teach my "serious programming for kids"
course.  10am Saturday at Warehouse 21.  Info at

My stash of laptops which I loan to kids from needy families is
dwindling -- some are just too old for current distros, others are
having hardware failures -- might anyone be getting rid of old 
laptops?
Anything with 1gig RAM will work.

Also: at this time it looks like a small group (due to likely 
dropout of
someone who said she would bring several students), so I might not 
need
help with the installfest at 10am Saturday.

But if I should get a final surge in participants, might anyone be
available at 10am Saturday for an hour or so?  To help shepherd 
kids
through installing a GNU/Linux distro on the random hardware they 
bring
in.
