NMGLUGers, At our meeting last night we had a small turnout, but some interesting work. there was some discussion of the brige-utils package and I showed off the Acer laptop I am bringing back to life. On the Acer, concensus was to use the ssd for swap. This is also reflected on the various discussions and problems reorted on the web by users who tried other uses. I added 8GB of swap by partitioning the ssd and then making one partition swap, then added the UUID to fstab. Works well. The optical drive was a bit iffy, but seems to have been jolted into life and now is working well. Maybe from blowing out the dust, maybe from the actions of travel and use.
