    running Ubuntu 10.10 on my toshiba satellite laptop.<br>

    I have a 4 gig flash card for my camera and have been putting it

    into the card reader to download photos, no problem. Today i

    downloaded some pix and reinserted the card into the camera and now

    I am getting a message on the screen of the Nikon that says the

    memory card is write protected and is read-only. I checked

    permissions on the card and ran this to try and clean them up:<br>

    sudo chown -R username:username /dev/sdb1<br>

    <br>

    Now it shows up as writaable by me but I still get the error with

    the camera.<br>

    What is up? any ideas how I can fix this and use the card in my

    camera?<br>
