Tried Cinnamon too and it worked for a bit on 11.10 but doesn't run
for me on 12.04 so I removed it. Actually Mate required its removal
when I did the upgrade. Mate was a total bear to get installed BTW.
I don't understand why it has to look so bad, specifically the
fonts?<br>
I'm going to cry and hold my breath until I get my Gnome 2 back!!<br>

<p>Yeah I agree about the errors. I would get alerts saying
Ubuntu has crashed. I decided to revert back to mint 12 and
try mint 13. Their philosophy is its done when its done.
