As I wrote, I can get into the Grub menu and select a kernel that
boots but only into low graphics mode. I uninstalled the OS fglrx
driver and installed the proprietary one and it was a beautiful GUI.
Now it's not available. So it's less of a kernel issue than a video
issue maybe? Can I delete all those other kernels except for the one
uname -a returns?<br>

the other kernels that isn't made for a vm. In the future, perhaps the
best idea is to ONLY install a kernel if you have to. manually

Really though all the kernels are still there, you just need to learn
the grub command line, and how to make it select the proper kernel at
boot default. Lucky for you, grub is pretty intuitive and as i
