Right now the situation is that Cybernetwork has got her desktop
computer up and running. However, I'm not clear on whether or not
Doug put her HD into a different box or not. That was an option he
was considering before this short work week. He said that her
computer was on the edge of failure. I will speak with him Monday
and pick up the computer then.<br>
She had XP on the machine but maybe Doug could upgrade that, I don't
know.<br>
The current thought is to get her a multi-function machine. She has
anon-functional HP and Dell printers and I know that that sort of
repair is uncommon, hence the multi-function as she does have a need
for scanning and faxing. Her Dell printer was b&w but won't feed
anymore. That was a workhorse for her and it would be great to have
that or another. Perhaps you could assist there, I don't know.<br>

She has a laptop that she has been using and I'm not sure how she
plans to sync it to the recently revived desktop box. She wants to
use the desktop as she had been and have her wireless network up and
running with the new multi-function (which we may have figured out
thanks to another NMGLUG member).<br>

She will be getting in contact with me Monday after she returns from
a trip and I'll get more info. Your proximity to her is a great help
too.<br>

I will be in touch as soon as I know more. I think the situation
would be that I take her refurbished desktop and new multi-function
out to her place. You could meet us there and assess the situation
and hopefully it would be a simple job.<br>

I have no hardware to donate, nor do i know anything not
inferred from<br>
names about HOPE or a "Tewa language program", but they sound
important<br>
to me. Time is scarce for me these days and I live out south
of Santa<br>
Fe, but if needed I would be happy to assist in setting up
software<br>
and/or networking and get an opportunity to learn a little
about what<br>
she and they are doing.<br>
