perhaps due to my naiveté did not work.<br>

let me review my attempt to make those changes:<br>
went to file "configure.status".<br>
opened with gedit<br>
replaced "false" with 'true'<br>
saved file to configure.status and hit replace.<br>
upon re opening configure.status indicated "false"<br>
replacing the "true" I had typed and saved?<br>

Can you advise?<br>
