Thinking I was being smart about the bash bug, this morning I decided to upgrade the firmware on my Motorola 3347 ADSL modem.  Bad idea!  Now it doesn't connect to CenturyLink.  I called them, and they said they will send me a new ActionTec VDSL modem next week.  (I guess beggars can't be choosers.)  In the meantime I'm off the net.  I wonder if anyone who's coming to our meeting this evening could please bring and lend me a spare ADSL modem until the following meeting.<br>
