It's of course fun to tinker with the the other flavors but at the end of the day, in order to best support the free software and greater world, we should not be looking to reinvent the wheel or patch shifty distros. Debian has easily proven to be the best place to focus our powers and resources as it has extensive long term support by the development community and can be as easily learned by beginners as Ubuntu which does not support the underlying values of the free software philosophy.<br><br><div>-------- Original message --------</div><div>From: nmglug-request@lists.nmglug.org </div><div>Date:10/08/2014 2:56 PM (GMT-07:00) </div><div>To: nmglug@lists.nmglug.org </div><div>Cc: </div><div>Subject: nmglug Digest, Vol 132, Issue 1 </div><div><br></div>Send nmglug mailing list submissions to<br> nmglug@lists.nmglug.org<br><br>To subscribe or unsubscribe via the World Wide Web, visit<br> http://lists.nmglug.org/listinfo.cgi/nmglug-nmglug.org<br>or, via email, send a message with subject or body 'help' to<br> nmglug-request@lists.nmglug.org<br><br>You can reach the person managing the list at<br> nmglug-owner@lists.nmglug.org<br><br>When replying, please edit your Subject line so it is more specific<br>than "Re: Contents of nmglug digest..."<br><br><br>Today's Topics:<br><br> 1.
