    <p>Really old Firefox (48.0) and OS, 10.6. Firefox help page states
      support ended with Mac 10.8 Until she upgrades OS we can't install
      newer FF nor Chrome, which the website suggested.</p>

           the issue is within the old macbook and points to something
          in the<br>
          network routing (i.e. firewall, router, dns, etc...).<br>
