Actiontec + port forwarding? Good luck! you are going to need it.
I had an older Actiontec dsl modem and went through hell getting it to do port forwarding. Then it died and I got a
newer Actiontec dsl modem (firmware 1.60.10.0.71-R1524SU) and went through hell again trying to get it to do port
forwarding.
Unfortunatly I never did figure out exactly what it was that got it working. But here are some of the settings:
NAT: on
Firewall: basic
DHCP is set to on, but I am not sure why. I seem to recall DHCP was one of the problems and I had to set everything to
static IPs before the port forwarding would work. Maybe it was running multiple DHCP servers that caused my problems?
DHCP Server Configuration:
DHCP Beginning static ip address: 192.168.0.200
DHCP Ending IP Address: 192.168.0.254
