I think that if it's under warranty, you should probably have it
replaced.  It looks like it has some bad sectors.

? How hot is it?  I've had drive problems that would happen only after
it got hot.  When I made more space around the drive, it cooled down,
and it has worked fine ever since.  I think that the high capacity
drives have more heating problems --- they run hotter.  Also, since the
data is denser, they are likely more susceptible to heat-expansion
related errors.
