Solution to CD-ROM wheredit go:
Locate the side of the sliding CD-ROM tray, press gently but firmly until a 
faint but audable click is heard.
We speculatate this solution is cross distribution compatable.and with 
little modification cross os adaptable.
Thank each of you for your various contributions in implimenting this
