Is this what you mean...  You can search the nmglug list archives for,
e.g., grub by feeding this to Google:

grub site:balrog.nmglug.org

Similarly for nmlug:

grub site:nmlug.org

At a glance, though, I could not find any hits for x-www-browser or
update-alternatives....
