Brian, I'm not familiar with HFS+ at all, but according to this page: http://gentoo-wiki.com/HOWTO_hfsplus linux support for journaled HFS partitions is basically read-only, though certain older kernel versions will try to mount HFS+ partitions read/write. If you type 'dmesg', do you see any indication of filesystem errors? -Ed
