[nmglug] WIfi for laptop,

Dear Nmglug, I would like a little advice about a wifi card for a laptop, HP Pavbilion 1250, AMD, Athlon and Ubuntu Linux. Any restrictions? Any recommendations? Can I just use any of the commonly available Linksys or DLink cards available? Thanks, Ted P.
