Certainly not "spam", but probably a strange idea in some ways.  I
would suggest that our group is close enough and small enough that an
"investment club" is worth considering, but that it does not make
sense for us all to bind to each other financially.

Why don't we select our fund, and then each invest in it
individually.  We can develop several fantasy funds (Yahoo used to
have a game for this, and they still have fantasy portfolios), debate
them, and then select a fund and we all pop $x/month into it.

Problem: trading commission.  It would be good if such funds already
existed :-)  How do we solve this one so each person can invest a
small amount/month?
