I stopped using dd-wrt and started using openwrt mainly for stability reasons. I am extremely impressed with the stability of openwrt, especially under heavy use. dd-wrt crumbles under light use and I also found a lot of the fancy features, that are supposed to be easy to configure, don't work very well or at all.
