[nmglug] Computer control of Heliostat

Hi Anthony K,

Nice little project you've got there.
I am assuming that you're looking for free software. I haven't had to look
for programs or packages which interact with hardware, but perhaps you can
check the NIST website (I found a free OCR package that way), or the Code
Project (http://www.codeproject.com/) website, or just plain Google what
you're searching for.

I happen to be interested in solar energy myself, so maybe we should
continue this conversation thread offline (so we won't bother the forum).
Currently I have a pretty full plate with 2 paying projects, but perhaps in
my occasional spare time, I may be able to help you (as long as it does not
have to be done in a month or less) - no promises.
I do have a basic background in Electrical Engineering, plus a lot of years
doing software development. I fondly recall writing Borland Pascal (running
on MSDOS) to capture data from vital-signs monitors and fetal-signs
monitors.

Regards,

Le Nguyen (in ABQ)
