[nmglug] weird memory card behavior

Also, if you have access to a windows box (and the camera is not formatting
it for you) HP has a tool for formatting flash memory. This link pops up
first in a google search
http://en.kioskea.net/download/download-127-hp-usb-disk-storage-format-tool...but
I always keep a copy too, if you want I can put it up in my dropbox for
download (so you could avoid jumping through hoops for a free tool), but
typically if I find myself using that tool I also find myself throwing a
'bad' card away quite soon, to avoid wasting time on it. As Nick says, they
go bad. The good part is that it's a bit easier to toss bad flash devices
now that they are so cheap :)
