[nmglug] status of re-install?

A., good luck with the "plunge" when you are ready. Yes, I go back and
forth on the separate partition for my home directory. it works both
ways, and if one is always upgrading it can either save time or create
new headaches. The porblem is in the settings/config files that reside
in the home directory and may not be compatible with the new kernel or
applications.
