I've found that the $6 per month is pretty standard across the hosting 
industry. Some are a little cheaper, like Dreamhost though. If you want 
to keep it in NM, there's a few hosting providers in the State that I'd 
recommend. Brownrice.com and BigByte.cc. Though, I'm not sure what they 
cost or how they do it.
