[nmglug] Novice

Gooood day Ubuntu group

You have all been very patient with me.   And now the novice has forgotten 
her password....I let the laptop sit alone for tooo long.Is there a way 
that I can retrieve or create a new password ?

You guys really live ubuntu.....
